The Deal Jacket

The Deal Jacket

Price:

$0.00

Description:

The Deal Jacket is the file the TxDMV, OCCC and the Comptroller will ask for when they conduct an exam or audit of your dealership so it’s important to make sure these documents are accurate. As you know, some documents are required by law to be kept in the deal jacket on every sale; although they may vary depending on whether it is a cash sale or a finance deal. Other documents may be required based on the situation presented during the sale, like if there is a trade-in or you are including a warranty on the vehicle. To know which documents are required, you can either rely on what some dealer at the auction told you, or you can do it the right way by taking this FREE course.

Criminal History Offense and Action on License Notice

If you have a criminal history and are concerned about your eligibility for a license, you MAY request a criminal history evaluation before applying for a new dealer’s license. This can be done by setting up a user account through the TxDMV website and requesting a criminal history evaluation in the eLICENSING portal. (Note: This step is NOT a requirement but it might be helpful IF you have a criminal history).

By entering this site, you verify you’ve been notified of your rights outlined in the Texas Occupations Code Chapter 53, Subchapter D, as well as the current criminal history guidelines found in the Texas Administrative Code §211.3.
